Ultimate Bluth Master Competition


The #UltimateBluthMaster Competition is an online campaign run by Netflix and the crew of the fifth season of Arrested Development which offered six Arrested Development fans the opportunity to win various prizes (yet to be announced).

Motherboy Challenge[]

  • Submission. (1 Point) - Use the #UltimateBluthMaster to submit your entry on Twitter.
  • Completion of Challenge. (2 Points) - Your submission is a photo of yourself with another consenting person in matching outfits (does not have to be an existing Motherboy outfit from the show). Participants should pose like Lucille and Buster in their covers as featured in Arrested Development.
  • Creativity (7 Points) - The judge will rank each qualifying submission on creativity on a scale of 1 to 7. 1 being a minimal recreation of an existing cover. 7 being a unique and creative Motherboy photo or outstanding recreation of an existing Motherboy photo.

The top two scoring submissions will receive an Ultimate BluthMaster trophy. In the case of a tie, we’ll randomly select a winner among the submissions. Additional featured persons in submissions do not qualify for the prize. Only the original entrant who posts the submission.

Style Challenge[]

  • Completion of Challenge. (2 Points) - Your submission is a photo of yourself dressed in any outfit featured in Arrested Development.
  • Creativity (7 Points) - The judge will rank each qualifying submission on creativity on a scale of 1 to 7. 1 being a minimal representation of a Bluth character. 7 being an outstanding display of detail and effort.

The top two scoring submissions will receive an Ultimate BluthMaster trophy. In the case of a tie, we’ll randomly select a winner among the submissions.

Living Classics[]

  • Submission. (1 Point) - Use the #UltimateBluthMaster to submit your entry on Twitter.
  • Completion of Challenge. (2 Points) - Your submission is a video of yourself reenacting any Arrested Development scene or moment with yourself and/or with friends.
  • Creativity (7 Points) - The judge will rank each qualifying submission on creativity on a scale of 1 to 7. 1 being a minimal recreation of a joke or full scene. 7 being a costumed, detailed, and strongly executed recreation of a scene.

The top two scoring submissions will receive an Ultimate BluthMaster trophy. In the case of a tie, we’ll randomly select a winner among the submissions.

JUDGING PROCESS[]

Winners will be selected by the Netflix social team on the basis of creativity, originality, and specific adherence to the challenge’s rules. All submitted entries will be considered and measured against the challenge criteria. Judging criteria for each challenge is as follows:
