Aside from working on Arrested Development he was also an Executive Producer and co-creator of Running Wilde, a television series also created by Mitch Hurwitz and starring Will Arnett and David Cross. He also served as co-Executive Producer for the other Mitch Hurwitz-created television show Sit Down, Shut Up, which starred Arnett along with Henry Winkler and Jason Bateman among others.

Jim Vallely's first paid writing position was for the television series Golden Girls where he wrote ten episodes.
